Roger Tessier founded Domaine Tessier in 1961. His son, Philippe .took the reins 20 years later in 1981

The Grape


Romorantin has been grown in the Cour Cheverny since the 16th Century. Only 35 producers still farm the historic grape on just 128 acres in the Loire Valley.

The Appellation

The Cour-Cheverny Appellation exclusively grows the historic variety Romorantin. AOC 1973

Sugars .4 G/L

Sulfites 34 ppm

Vintner Notes

Malolactic fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel after direct pressing. Aged in tank.
