The Wines...

2023 Domaine Jourdan Grand Amour
Tasting Notes
A classic wine from a classic Dry Farm Wines grower, the Grand Amour is a consistently excellent Cab Franc from the place that grows it best. Opening with dark fruit notes of plum, red currant, and a bit of milk chocolate, on the palate it reads both serious yet supple, with great tannins, a touch of acidity, and luscious fruit weight.
Food Pairing
There's an herbaceous side to Cab Franc that adds intrigue to classical Cabernet pairings. Try the Grand Amour with a grilled steak with a punchy chimichurri, a pork shoulder steak with a fragrant mint salad, or hearty roasted eggplant with a concassé.

2023 Vegatolosa Hoya del Carmen Rosé
Tasting Notes
Few wines are as identifiable with farmers-market-fresh fruit as a great rosé, and the Hoya del Carmen is a great example. Opening with ripe strawberry, cherry, and just a touch of crisp raspberry, the palate is charming, and a bit richer than most rosé, but still just as refreshing.
Food Pairing
A dynamic rosé like this will be just delightful pondering on its own, but will do very well against food that enjoys a bit of fruit. Perfect with a salad featuring fresh fruit (or bacon), it'll be just as good next to a delicately-cooked game bird, or a more substantial protein like a pork chop with red cabbage.

2023 Domaine de la Cotelleraie Sauvignon VDF "Rosalia"
Tasting Notes
A Loire Sauvignon Blanc that balances vintage notes from the region of freshly-cut grass, and a flinty minerality, with some more new-world elements of kiwi and passionfruit. Altogether, it's a supremely refreshing, quaffable cuvée that balances sweet citrus and tropical notes with aplomb.
Food Pairing
A superb aperitif, the Rosalie will match nothing at all very well, and will complement raw, delicate seafood like scallop crudo, or hamachi sashimi very well, or the classically French leeks with vinegar.
