Annick and Francis Jourdan, the couple behind Domaine Jourdan, embody a deeply natural, biodynamic approach with everything they do. This means they sacrifice higher yields, riper berries, and uncountable human hours to make a delicious Vin de Terroir, above all. They love working with Nature, not against it, understanding how the vines grow and what makes up their unique soils to produce the healthiest, brightest expression of their land.
Attention to Detail
Not one inch in this cuvee escapes attention - next to gnarled Cabernet Franc that’s been rooted for more than half a century, wild grasses and legumes sprout, giving the soil valuable nitrogen. In the spring months, a regular treatment of cow manure and ground quartz is prepared for the vines to promote ripeness and growth, shirking harmful chemicals for these natural potions. The wines sing purely in the tones of their cool, cloud-soaked days and nights. Grown from their rugged Tuffeau limestone soils, you can taste a humble, conscientious expression of Terroir.
A Soulful History
In the 12th Century, cloistered monks planted Cabernet Franc in the unique soils of Chinon. Today, untrained vines in those same plots make what’s regarded as the world’s finest Cabernet Franc. Annick and Francis harness the beauty of this history. In 2017, spring frosts took many vines, but that was followed by bright summer sun and just enough rain to mature these dry-farmed berries to perfection. The result is a delicate yet powerful wine.

Every shipment is delivered with complimentary ground shipping.
How long does it take?
Ground shipping times depend on the state. For the West Coast, shipping takes 1-3 business days. For the East Coast, it takes 5-7. Expedited shipping options are available; just email us at service@dryfarmwines.com.
