2011 Les Chais du Vieux Bourg

Labs

0.1 g/L sugar, 12.3% alcohol, 46 ppm sulfur

Notes

100% Savagnin Noir. Delicate red berries, light tannins, elegant complexity

Story

Ludwig Bindernagel, a Bavarian winemaker, teams up with the famous Jura region to give us this amazing reflection of the Savignin grape (similar to Pinot Noir). The rich soil contains fossilized oysters and the vineyard is completely tended to by hand.

2014 Sebastien David "Kezako" Cabernet Franc

Labs

0.3 g/L sugar, 12.5% alcohol, 2 ppm sulfur

Notes

100% Cabernet Franc. Deep earth, precise tannins, subtle finish

Story

Grown in the limestone soils of the Loire, Kezako expresses the stunning beauty of Cabernet Franc. It’s matured in concrete, aged without any sulfur, and certified biodynamic. A pleasure to drink.

2015 Preisinger Zweigelt Kieselstein

Labs

0.6 g/L sugar, 12.3% alcohol, 24 ppm sulfur

Notes

100% Zwiegelt. Juicy full body, intriguing minerality, deep purple color

Story

Preisinger has done the impossible: transformed the simple Zweigelt grape into a complex wine. From Austrian brown pebblestone terroir and 45 year old vines, this Kieselstein is a elegantly mature wine. It puts Austria on the map.

2015 Villet Arbois Pinot Noir

Labs

0.5 g/L sugar, 12.5% alcohol, 5 ppm sulfur

Notes

100% Pinot Noir. Soft red fruit, subtle earth, impressive drinkability

Story

Gérard Villet works biodynamically in limestone to craft this sophisticated Pinot. With a delicate 10 month aging program, this Arbois presents tension between red fruit acid and mild earth. Beautiful.
