Gamay and anything cooked over an open flame will be excellent. Burgers, a grilled steak, chicken, or some smoky eggplant will all play wonderfully with this Gamay.
Tasting Notes
The Coteaux du Lyonnais is one of our favorite up-and-coming wine regions, with the same famous granite soils as Beaujolais's ten Cru and just a bit more sunshine, the wines are slightly beefier with the same rustic charm. This wine has a lovely nose of deep, dark red fruit and earth. The palate is even a touch smoky, continuing these same fruit and earth flavors. EARTHEN DARK-FRUITED SANGUINE FRESH FLORAL
