Tasting Notes
One of Savoie's signature red grapes, Mondeuse is enjoying a growing reputation despite a relatively small production around the worlds. With a lovely, floral aroma, a deep, dark color, and a palate characterized by dark fruit and powerful tannins, its a wine that can be enjoyed young, but definitely benefits from a little aging. This bottle presents these same floral, and very Italian bitter cherry notes, dark, caramelized fruit on the palate, and the same powerful finish. It's a wine of real gusto, and will impress everywhere from white tablecloth dinners to backyard barbecues.
