Tasting Notes
The wines of Savoie have enjoyed greater and greater appreciation in recent years in wine nerd circles and natural wine shops, and once you taste some of the wines of Chateau de Mérande you'll start to see why. The wines are stylistic and totally unique, but accessible, and basically delicious. With this Roussane, the nose takes on elements of caramelization alongside some smoky minerality, while the palate has weight and roundness, with citrus and spice notes, leading into a zippy mineral finish. A classy, and complex wine from one of our favorite places, truly a wine to be savored.
