Pairing
Malbec's classical pairing is grass-fed beef cooked over an open flame, so you can't go wrong with a grilled ribeye. For the more adventurous, the richness and relatively low tannin of this wine make it an interesting partner for seafood and fall vegetables too.
Tasting Notes
Although Malbec is known these days for its bold expressions in Argentina, it is originally French in origin, hailing from world-renowned Bordeaux. In Bergerac, just south of Bordeaux, it's expression is dark and brooding, with lots of sultry fruit, and weighty elements. This is a bold wine for quiet, contemplative times, try pairing it with richer fare, and warming fires.
