A bright and flirtacious red like this really wants lighter proteins - think grilled chicken with lemon and butter, salmon poached in olive oil, and even the classic from this region, Ratatouille. There are no tannins to tame here, and the acid isn't so high that it will through many things out of balance either, this wine will go well with just abliut anything.
Tasting Notes
Mourvèdre is one of those grapes that can wear many different hats. In Spain, it goes by the name Monastell, where its dark fruit, chocolate, and tobacco elements become weighty and sometimes overwhelming - its French counterparts (specifically in Provence) though can have an easiness to them, with supple tannins, fresher fruit, and even touches of lavendar. This wine is even lighter by comparison, made specifically for easy, summertime glou glou, and its snappy blue and purple fruit, direct acidity, and barely-there tannin make it the perfect red for a day at the beach imagining your in Nice.
