Tasting Notes
In Burgundy, Chardonnay is king. However, way up north is the small region of Saint-Bris where Sauvignon Blanc reigns supreme. Closest in character to Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, these wines have a steely, mineral edge to them, and that classic burnt matchstick quality only seen in the best white Burgundies. With a core of pure pear and lychee fruit, there's just a touch of the varietal’s trademark grassiness and ends with a brisk, mineral-laden finish.
