Tasting Notes
The winemaker behind this wine, Gerald Vallée, has had his fingerprints on Cabernet Francs of many stripes for decades now, and it shows in this deep, dark example of this typically-green Loire red. The typical nose of pyrazines (the chemical in green peppers, but also Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Merlot, and Carmènere) is there, but it leans more towards herbs than jalapenos, and the fruit quality is deep and rich enough to border on chocolate. We will say, this wine has some serious grip to it, and will likely be better with food than without.
