Pairing
A fabulously aromatic red like the Rote Bienne should be used to accent and highlight whatever meal it's served beside. It'll make an excellent partner for simply cooked poultry like roasted chicken and will be even better next to a schnitzel preparation. Try it with meatier white fish with beurre blanc, like cod or halibut, for a truly unique pairing experience.
Tasting Notes
A beautiful example of low-alcohol red wine in a novel style, the Rote Biene is somewhere between a white and red. Thanks to the unique chalk and limestone soils in Hollenberg, the Hoch Family has teased a uniquely delicious wine out of a couple of two native Austrian grapes, Zweigelt and Blauer Portugieser. With mouth-watering acidity and full red fruit and spice notes, it’s a charming red wine that’s excellent as an aperitif, especially served chilled. BOUNCY EXPRESSIVE DARK FLORAL CRISP
