Dolcetto is one of those red grapes that's meant for early, easy drinking. Give it a chill and enjoy on its own, or beside grilled mushrooms and cheese, a tomato salad with just a bit of chili, or a piece of simply grilled chicken.
Tasting Notes
Some wines just smell Italian, and this traditional Dolcetto from Piedmont is as Italian as tomatoes and mozzarella. Beginning with a rustic nose that moves between dried earth, baking spices, and a touch of dark flowers, the palate is dark, brooding, and complex with expressive plum and cherry notes, and a dusty, mineral finish.
