A bright, brisk Chardonnay like this works best with simple and fresh fish preparations, such as cod in a classic parsley sauce, sole meunière, or trout amandine, but will also do quite nicely alongside fresh seasonal vegetables with some butter or olive oil.
Tasting Notes
Morillon is the Austrian synonym for one of our favorite white grapes, Chardonnay! Steiermark's cooler weather means this wine isn't going to have the rich, mouth-coating quality of an American or even some Burgundian Chardonnay; however, it still retains the same beautiful core of citrus fruit and trademark matchstick and mineral elements so prized in the best Chards. A great example of a classic grape done in a novel style!
