A delicate white wine of this sort shines with raw seafood. Tuna tartare with plenty of avocado or aioli, oysters on the half shell with mignonette, or fresh veggies with labne or hummus will all be quite nice.
Tasting Notes
Sauvignon Gris isn't a variety that one comes across too often, as sites for the grape are often used for its more famous clonal cousin, Sauvignon Blanc. However, after tasting this wine, we can’t help but wonder why? With less of the classic green gooseberry and herbal notes of Sauvignon Blanc, this white is a class act bursting with minerality and white peach elements on the nose and a palate ripe with fruit.
