The O Erastís is above all, a wine of darkness and depth, pair it beside vegetables with an inherent earthiness, like roasted beets, charred radicchio, or grilled broccoli rabe. It will go fabulously with all manners of cooked meat, as well, particularly of the porcine variety - enjoy beside a classic smoked picnic shoulder, or a venison steak with a red wine demi.
Tasting Notes
The O Erastís, named after the Jungian archetype of "the lover," is a wine that strikes the uncommon balance between upfront charm and depth. Opening with notes of dark flowers, earth, and purple fruit, the palate is savory up front, blossoming into surprisingly tart red red fruit, with a soft, lightly tannic finish.
