Pairing
One of the best rules of thumb when pairing with food is to try to emulate the food where the wine comes from! This bottle, which is from a distinctly Mediterranean part of the country, is going to pair excellently with all things seafood and olive oil - grilled prawns or scallops, a classic bouillabaisse, or even some roasted eggplant with lots of garlic are all going to be quite nice.
Tasting Notes
A great example of Mediterranean winemaking at its best, this bottle from the south of France even smells a bit like the salt of the sea. On the nose, you'll also find plenty of pear, tropical fruit, and vanilla, while the palate strikes an excellent balance between rich and crisp, with lots of fruit weight and a nice mineral, acidic finish that keeps things fresh.
