Martin Obennaus is a unique figure in our portfolio - while we love his bright, expressive red wines, we admire him almost more for the impact that he's sought to have in his community. Apart from taking every possible measure to ensure that the soils under his vines are healthy for many future generations, he's also built bee and insect houses around his home town, along with benches (like the one pictured on the label), for his neighbors to sit and enjoy the landscape. This red from him, the Mo:Rot, has a rich, heady aroma of dark flowers and tart red fruits, with a palate that's all cranberries and minerals, along with a soft, dark finish.
