There's hardly anything better with Chard than a whole roasted chicken with plenty of butter, and whatever vegetables are in season, but the label is also a clue to a great pairing. Boquerones with plenty of aoili over butter-toasted bread will be quite nice, or a classic Caesar with plenty of anchovies in the dressing.
Tasting Notes
This lovely little Chardonnay from the north of Italy has a bit more in common with Chablis than the Chardonnays of California. Opening with a nose of tense, quiet minerality, and moving to a palate brimming with crisp acidity, stony elements, and just a touch of bread dough, it's a Chardonnay that reads quite classy, indeed.
