Tasting Notes
Blauer Portugieser is one of those grapes that's harder to find in the wild, but makes really unique and compelling wines. The first thing that you'll notice about this wine is its inky blueish or blackish color, and that same darkness comes through on the nose, with dense blackberry and plum notes coming through first, moving to a palate that's surprisingly fresh, but delivers lots of flavor and complexity, along with just a lick of food-friendly tannin.
