Tasting Notes
Mencia is one of the hottest grapes on the wine scene today. Marrying the delicacy and teasing aroma of Pinot Noir with some of the power of something like Grenache or Tempranillo, the wines it produces have a pleasant aroma, deep complexity, and some real power on the palate. Montero's Mencia opens with dark flowers, red berries, and a touch of balsamic, while the palate is full, with a lick of tannin, and a lingering, memorable finish.
