<p>Frühroter Veltliner may be one of Austria’s lesser-known white grapes, but in the hands of Toni Schmid, it offers a quiet charm worth discovering. The nose is understated, with whispers of stone fruit, dried herbs, and a faint mineral edge. On the palate, the wine opens gently, broad and soft, with mellow orchard fruit and a stony, clean finish.</p>
