For most white wines from the Loire, raw shellfish is usually a great option, but in this instance, just cooked seafood may be a bit better. Grilled oysters with chili butter and seasoned breadcrumbs, lightly-seared scallops with beurre blanc, or a grilled lobster will all be fabulous, and almost any lighter vegetarian preparation.
Tasting Notes
White flowers are a timeless symbol of elegance and purity, and this wine has both in spades. Opening with vintage Chenin Blanc notes of citrus, honey, but in this instance, some unripe peach, the palate is brisk and refreshing with soft, present acidity, and a pure core of white stone fruit.
