There's simply nothing better with a slightly richer Chardonnay than roast chicken with market vegetables, and tha's certainly true with this wine. Alternatively, it will go excellently with richer seafood dishes like brandade, or oysters rockefeller.
Tasting Notes
Although Beaujolais is known for it's rugged granite soils, and how that terroir transmits through the Gamay grape, it is still technically a part of Burgundy. Jean-Paul Brun of Terres Dorées farms rare parcels of Chardonnay here, on even rarer limestone soils.The result, a wine with the classy mineral edge of a Burgundy Chardonnay with more fruit and vibrancy. This Beaujolais Blanc opens with notes of ripe, sweet lemon, toast, and a lick of wet stone, descending to a glassy palate with the same lemon tart notes, and a bright, vibrant finish.
