The Wines...

2021 Chateau l'Eden Médoc
Tasting Notes
A classic left-bank Bordeaux, the Château l'Eden opens with vintage notes of red and black currant, cigar smoke, moving to a full-bodied palate with the same fruit notes, mineral graphite elements, and just a kiss of sweet vanilla from some limited oak aging.
Food Pairing
A superb pairing partner, the l'Eden will do well seared lamb chops with rosemary, a pan-seared, butter-basted steak au poivre, or grilled mushrooms with goat cheese.

2024 Vignobles Boudon Cuvée Sainte Anne Rosé
Tasting Notes
A Bordeaux rosé that showcases all of the fruit that's made this maritime region so famous, with a touch more refreshment, the Boudon Cuvée Saint-Anne opens with effusive notes of watermelon, sugared raspberry, and chalky minerality, before moving to a palate with the same pronounced fruit, and a lovely bright finish.
Food Pairing
A great aperitif, the delicacy of this wine must be matched by the delicacy of the food - pair with a watermelon salad with feta and mint, fresh tomatoes off the vine with just a bit of salt or done caprese-style, or a light scallop or hamachi crudo.

2023 Blind Corner Margaret River Syrah
Tasting Notes
There are few wines as distinctive as Syrah, and this wine from Australia's Margaret River melds earth, fruit, and spice in a way that only Syrah can. Opening with deep notes of blackberries and plum, along with anise and sassafras, the palate is a blockbuster, with bold dark fruit notes, a soft, supple mouthfeel, and long, well-integrated tannins.
Food Pairing
It's not just because this Syrah (or Shiraz) hails from Australia, but this is a great wine to open if you plan on firing up the barbecue. Pair with grilled lamb chops and chimichurri, or a flame-kissed New York strip with béarnaise, or charred eggplant.

2023 Vegatolosa Hoya del Carmen Rosé
Tasting Notes
Few wines are as identifiable with farmers-market-fresh fruit as a great rosé, and the Hoya del Carmen is a great example. Opening with ripe strawberry, cherry, and just a touch of crisp raspberry, the palate is charming, and a bit richer than most rosé, but still just as refreshing.
Food Pairing
A dynamic rosé like this will be just delightful pondering on its own, but will do very well against food that enjoys a bit of fruit. Perfect with a salad featuring fresh fruit (or bacon), it'll be just as good next to a delicately-cooked game bird, or a more substantial protein like a pork chop with red cabbage.

2024 Craig and Carla Hawkins Love by Chance
Tasting Notes
A South African red that takes its cues from the freshness of Beaujolais, the '24 Love by Chance from Craig and Carla Hawkins is a fruit basket of blackberries, raspberries, and ripe red cherries. On the nose, these ripe fruits intermingle with just a kiss of barbecue smoke, and some herbal green before moving to a palate with a velvety mouthfeel, the same fresh fruits, and a long, mineral-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
A superb barbecue wine, enjoy the Love by Chance beside a pork steak fresh off the grill, a grilled chorizo with pickled onions, or fire-roasted zucchini with plenty of olive oil and herbs.

2023 Domaine Les Mesclances Charmes
Tasting Notes
A flight of ripe strawberry, grapefruit peel, and seabreeze greet the nose before moving to a palate that begins full, and lush with the same strawberry and a touch of raspberry, but moves to refreshment in the end with the same seabreeze and a touch of lemon zest.
Food Pairing
This Provençal rosé can be heartily enjoyed all on its own, or beside some of the region's classic dishes like salade niçoise, a lighter-style bouillabaise, or razor clams served on the half-shell with olive oil and aioli.
