Soft, ripe red fruits on the nose, a bit of earthy merlot notes, palate has some nice mushroomy/CF earth elements, nice tannins, should really only get better; Truffles, sweet earth, Ripe green, soft tannins, some good mineral, easy & classic wine
Tasting Notes
A great showcase for the quality of Loire Valley wine, the Notre rouge is an elegant melding of the region's preeminent grape, Cabernet Franc, with the Loire's native son, Grolleau, and just a touch of Merlot. On the nose, the wine has dark red and purple fruits, and even a bit of milk chocolate alongside earthy clay notes. On the palate, the wine leads with these same dark fruits, and brings in a bit of plushness thanks to the Merlot, and a rustic, lightly tannic finish.
