A wine that takes it's name from the literary pride and joy of Chinon, François Rabelais, and his nom de plume, Alcofribas, this Cabernet Franc is a calling card for the region. Opening with a tantalizing mélange of dark red fruit, milk chocolate, and just a touch of roasted red pepper, the palate is luscious and full with the same fruit, and a rare touch of orange peel, concluding with a memorably soft finish.
