More than a century ago, Michel Guignier’s ancestors planted Gamay grapes in the porous granite around the hamlet of Morgon in Beaujolais, France. 

Today, Guignier has carried this family tradition to set the benchmark for the region. 

His 2025 l’Amethyste is a wine of hedonism. Bursting with rich red and black cherry, ripe blackberry, and undergirded by a river rock kind of minerality, this wine of easy charm is deceptively deep and capable of aging for some time. 

This allocation is offered only to Dry Farm Wines Members, and we are proud to call it one of our best from this storied terroir.
