The Wines...
2024 Monteversa Volare
Tasting Notes
From the volcanic soils of Veneto, this wine opens with a fragrant nose of cranberry, red currant, and roasted hazelnut, evoking cozy holiday spices and the warmth of winter. On the palate, it’s light in body yet structured, with food-friendly tannins and a mineral core. Earthy and elegant, it carries flavors of raspberry and currant, finishing with a dry snap that makes it feel like a refined Cabernet—without the weight. A beautiful balance of freshness and rustic charm.
Food Pairing
This versatile red is made for the table. Pair it with roast pork, mushroom risotto, or a plate of grilled vegetables with rosemary and sea salt. Its subtle spice and acidity also make it a great match for lentil stew, aged cheeses, or herbed lamb chops. A holiday favorite, but easy to enjoy all year long.

NV Castello Abate Toscana Rosso
Tasting Notes
The Castello Abate asserts its Italianate origins from first whiff, with tantalizing aromas of dried red fruit and earth emerging from the glass. On the palate, the wine begins big and bold, with those same dark red fruits predominating, evolving into a layered expression of earth, ripe and dried cherry fruit, and some tobacco before moving to a subtle, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
A pitch-perfect pairing wine for denser proteins like osso bucco over risotto milanese, bigtek fiorentina, the Castello Abate could also match some lighter fare like grilled chicken or vegetable skewers.
