The Wines...

2023 Weingut Feth Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
After France and the United States, the country that produces the most Pinot in the world is actually Germany! Known as Spätburgunder, these Pinots are typically a bit lighter than their American and French counterparts, but less so these days. The Feth Pinot opens with charming notes of cranberry and a touch of clay, while the palate is really quite rich and generous, with full unripe cherry notes, and a tense mineral finish.
Food Pairing
A lovely pairing partner, the Feth Pinot will be excellent beside some classic German preparations like beer-boiled bratwurst and sauerkraut, or pork schitzel, and its tantalizing and delicate palate will make it a great match for charcuterie and cheese.

2023 Compagnons du Schist Fruit de la Pleine Lune Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
Fief Noir are one of our most trusted growers - Alexis Soulas and Dominique Sirot have made some of our favorite wines vintage after vintage, but this year, they've done something truly extraordinary. They have crafted two delicious Pinots for us, all made a bit differently. This wine underwent Carbonic Maceration, meaning the berries weren't crushed before they were fermented, resulting in a fruitier wine, with lots of charm and character. Opening with a touch of ripe cherry, but also clay, the palate is super vibrant and juicy, with a long, extended finish.
Food Pairing
This fruitier Pinot is going to play very well with all kinds of game meat - duck à l'orange will be pitch perfect, as well as venison with a cherry reduction. It will also do very well beside a plate of simply roasted wild mushrooms with a poached egg.

2023 Gruber Röschitz Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
Lifted by the cool winds of the Weinviertel and grounded by granite soils, the 2023 Gruber Röschitz Pinot Noir finds its balance between delicacy and depth. Aromas of herbal spice, black currant, and a whisper of licorice rise from the glass, leading into a palate of red cherry, ripe plum, and a savory earthiness. The wine’s clean structure and vibrant acidity keep the fruit in check, offering a polished, elegant expression with a red berry finish.
Food Pairing
Its graceful profile and earthy undertones make it a natural match for mushroom risotto, roast duck, or herbed lamb chops. For something lighter, try it with lentil salad, beet carpaccio, or a truffled cheese board.
