The Utopie is the culmination of years of work. A softer, more supple example of Cabernet Franc, it opens with notes of purple flowers, and fresh red fruit, while the palate is soft and generous with just a kiss of tannin, and memorable finish.

A lighter Cabernet Franc like the Utopie will be excellent beside light cheeses, roasted vegetables, or even a more substantial seafood preparation like salmon or tuna crudo.

Entouré de Roches translates to "between the rocks," and this is a wine that certainly leans on its minerality. With a strong core of dark, juicy fruit and a touch of both the classic green pepper, it's a wine that's at first light and welcoming, then shows a more serious side once it sits with some air and time.

Cab Franc and mushrooms are the perfect marriage, and we recommend experimenting with some recipes alongside the Entouré de Roches. Try a mushroom ragù, goat cheese and charred maitakes, or even a Steak Diane.

Although the Loire is revered for its world-class Cabernet Franc, on its warmer south-facing slopes, you'll find it's progeny, Cabernet Sauvignon planted too. Blending the perfume and elegance of Cabernet Franc, with the power and concentration of Cabernet Sauvignon, it's a phenomenal showcase of the virtues of both of these grapes. Opening with redcurrant, a touch of milk chocolate, and some baking spice, the palate is robust, and full-forced, with the same dark red and black fruits, with firm ripe tannins, and a long, memorable finish.

A wine with this kind of power offers a number of pairing options, like a classic bouef bourguignon, or the regional specialty, Rôti de Porc aux Pruneaux, or roast pork with prunes. It also has enough versatility to match substantial vegetarian preparations like confited eggplany, or ratatouille.
